This is a very cool project, it also makes a great gift for someone special. By flipping the three bottom horizontal blocks, middle then top you can rotate between the four surfaces. It doesn’t stop there, blocks have 6 sides.

Julie’s tip:
Cut a piece of velum 4” x 6” (photo size used for this project). Using a black marker, mark off a 2” x 2” grid (individual block size). This will help you position your cut lines on your photo.

The following layouts were made using the Typeset workshop on the go from the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book. I also re-created the layout from the Idea Book on page 16. This is my take on these layouts.

By using the back side of the B&T paper you can create a different look.

This is my re-creation of the layout in the Idea Book. Using a few clever masking techniques you can change the look of any coordinating canvas, don’t let the pre-printed text limit your creativity. You can find the template for this layout on page 94 of the Magic book.

Some times you really don’t have a ton of photos to scrap and this layout is perfect for that. These photos really came together with this layout. You can find the template for this layout on page 122 of the Magic book.

This layout was inspired by a Regional Celebration workshop. Use the cutting diagram on page 96 of Magic™.

stamp set used: Happy Clusters for the circle pattern and larger star and Love Life for the swirls and smaller stars.
use up your Milepost shapes, I cut out a star from a larger piece.
using the small star from the Love Life stamp it on your base page using Juniper ink then using your Bronze glitter gel cover the image.

Birthday Card using the CTMH Art Philosophy

Parliament Hill ~ Christmas Supper 2010

Last year a couple of girls friends and I went to Parliament Hill for a wonderful Christmas supper. As we eat our dinner in the Parliamentary Dining Room, we asked ourselves: “I wonder who sat in this very chair, maybe the Prime Minister him self?” We had a great time!

5th Annual Christmas Card Workshop 2011

October 2011 ~ WOTG ~ Hostess Club

The following layouts are made using the Dreamin' workshop on the go from the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book.. I love the new Glitz gels, you can add effortless glamour to your layouts with this great Bronze colour.

This is my take on the featured layout, I simply added one additional photo to complete my story.

The Hostess of the month can change it up by selecting an alternate layout, we completed the beautiful layout from page 34 in the Idea Book. I simply love these colours, I couldn't stop at 2 layouts. Using the additional inspiration from the "My Sitckease" I also completed the Deck of Cards layout from the Magic Book.

Wicked Cards

Halloween is just around the corner, for those of you who took advance of the August specials here is a couple of cards you can create using the ORIGINAL card book and the “A Heartfelt Classic” layout. The following materials were used: Smokey Plum B&T paper from the NEW Sonoma paper pack, Sunset, Black and Colonial White cardstock. Notice the clever use of the "witches hat" image as the stem for the pumpkin! To create the pumpkin cut out three 1.5" ovals from Sunset cardstock using the "Oval3" button with our NEW "Art Philosophy" Cricut Cartridge. Stamp the honey-comb image with Sunset ink for added texture. Layer the ovals together over the stem to create a pumpkin. Using the "masking" technique stamp the word "Halloween" on a 3/4" x 2" piece of Colonial White cardstock. Then using the “A Typeface” stamp set stamp the work “HAPPY”. This card was inspired by: Jen Rubio

This second card was made with the same "Wicked" stamp set and a little Cricut magic. To create the tag cut out a tag at 3.5" using the "Rctngle7" plus one extra using the layer button with the NEW "Art Philosophy" Cricut Cartridge. I used our wonderful bonding memories pen to glue both together, the pen provides great coverage and is easy to control. This card was inspired by: Carole Labuski

September 2011 ~ WOTG ~ Hostess Club

We are kicking off the 2011/2012 Hostess club session with the new Sonoma workshop on the go. Love the new heavier cardstock weight to the B&T papers; they can be used as bases and much, much more. Love the new decorative 1/2" zip strips on the top of each B&T papers, these make great borders in a jiffy. Love the new low pricing on the paper packets. Love the versatility of the B&T papers with two unique designs on front and back. Like always, I LOVE the ALL new stuff.

This is my take on the featured layout, I simply changed the photo size from 3" x 4" to 4" x 5" and re-positioned of few elements. This September I celebrated 16 years of marriage with my wonderful hubby, it was only fitting to use some of those photo and reminisce on those amazing moments.

This was our last workshop of the session. We all worked very hard and completed a total of 32 pages over the pass months. I'm often asked: "How many pages do you complete in a week or month"? Some people think 8 or 10 double layouts per month. We all know that scrapbooking is a labour of love and we're creating memories. I'm happy with my 4 pages per month and when I look back I'm extremely happy with the results. So lets all take a well deserved summer break and we'll get back to your hobby in September.

I love this paper so much I couldn't leave those tiny little scraps pieces behind. A little Black & White Magic

I've never worked with Grey Wool & Grey Flannel. The back side of the BLISS papers where just screaming "pick me, pick me". So off I went to print a few photos in Black and White. I love this picture of Jade, that flower was simply too pretty to change to black & White. With a little Photoshop magic, I kept the original colour and voilà. I love how that photo turned out. This is what happens when you're working on multiple projects. You'll notice that I re-used the second layout template from the You & Me kit.

The Bliss workshop on to go is great, it's neutral palette works with anything. You can simple add a splash of colour and change this into anything you like. After completing these two scrapbooking layouts I couldn't stop there.

This last April I got a chance to get away and part take in a CTMH Regional Celebration. Who knew work could be so much fun. I meet new consultants and got a change to visit with great friends. The following are a few pieces completed during the create and take sessions. I love those sessions and even after almost 5 years they still amazing me with new techniques and wonderful ways to create beautiful layouts & cards.

What's cool about Studio J, is you can pick any paper pack and change the colour to match your photos. I'm still playing around with this program but I can tell you that it can live side by side with my traditional scrapbooking layouts..

Well I guess you can say that we are starting the year off with a bang! This workshop is extra special, not only will we be completing the featured MAGNIFIQUE layout but we'll also do the very special CTMH exclusive Flip Flap workshop layout. So, if you've got LOTS of photos this one is for you. On one double page spread you can fit 24 glorious photos.

The featured layout from the WOTG ~ MAGNIFIQUE is from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. I just couldn't believe how perfect the colours matched my photos, these are 6 year old photos BTW. I didn't dress-up my girls to match the paper but I've been known to do just that *Ü*

This layout is from the CTMH ~MAGIC book, by repeating this layout three (3) times and strategically cutting your pages, you can turn this into a very inter-active layout. The Flip Flaps are absolutely wonderful for this application. Its not easy to shown how great this really is in photos. The first photo is the base layout. You need to re-create this twice on two other cardstock bases using the front and back. Then by cutting the left page at the edge between the light colour B&T paper and the Pacifica cardstock you create a flap. The right page is cut down the middle creating two flaps one top and one bottom. Here you see the insides only.

Christmas Cards 2010 ~ Workshop

Its that time of year again and this year couldn't have been easier. Using the Mistletoe workshop on the go guide, plus the additional art work from the ideas & inspiration section of the CTMH website.
I was able to create 12 beautiful cards in no time at all. Since most of us send out more then just 12 cards, I used up the remaining cardstock and B&T paper from the Mistletoe level 2 paper pack and created another 8 cards for a total of 20 cards. The time saving factor is in the doubling of each design. You make 5 different designs and re-create the same card twice. Another great time saver, is using the same layout and rotating the direction. You'll notice that the following cards are in groups of three. Each grouping was completed using one layout, clever don't you think!

Using the workshop guide from the all inclusive kit you can make these three beautiful cards.

These cards are features on the CTMH website, the cutting instruction can be found in the Wishes card book -layout Sentiment Secured

If you still need more cards, you can use up all of your cardstock and create these ones too!

and to make an even 20 add this one too. The kit includes, a full the paper pack, the embellishments and a unique stamp set exclusive to this kit. All you need is a little ink and a few blocks. Even after completed all of these cards you'll still have enough B&T papers to complete the featured scrapbook layout from the same workshop on the go. You will need two extra New England Ivy cardstock bases and one Colonial White for the title and journaling.

Halloween Creations

Halloween is so much fun, its my favourite time of year, from the pumpkins to the ghosts I just love it all. Here are some of my creations.

Saw this on the skip to my lou blog its the cutest party favor ever, go to skip to my lou for the template to make your very own.

This card was totally lifted from a CTMH sister, I can't remember who??? I was waiting for my new Gypsy cardstock to arrive and I just couldn't wait anymore. So, I used the retired Hydrangea colour to re-create this great card. Love that stamp set.

Did you know that you can use your Cuttlebug and embossing folders on clear cards? Haaaaaa! This was one of those moments. I just love when that happens.

I also like to make little treats for the kids in my daughter's class; the grade 1 class will be getting these loop-pop holders. They are cute, simple and not too much candy. I'm thinking of the teacher here, she's got a full class. I can only imagine, all of them high on sugar.

My oldest daughter's grade 5 class will be getting these scary treat bags. I know they still love Halloween and all the treats that come with it. These body part gummies are just the coolest and the chocolate eye balls are the finishing touch.

I was sooo happy when my Hostess picked the Hooligans WOTG, I really wanted to make this layout. As part of my monthly club the Hostess gets to select the "workshop on the go". Lucky me, it was the Halloween one, just in time too. As you know, I like to change it up a little. By simply turning the left page layout I created an entire new look.

I still have Prisma Glitter everywhere... Those little Hooligans were lots of fun to make. After stamping each one and using the Bonding Memories Glue Pen with Prisma Glitter they all got Blinked-up.

This second layout is made using the MAGIC how-to book; from the Littlest Witch to the Halloween Princess these two layouts were really fun to create.

Last Minute Birthday Invitation

September is always a little crazy with school starting, birthdays, planning for NEW workshops and well, just life... Time isn't always on my side.
My little one asked me to make her birthday invitations. "I want PINK cards, Mommy"! So, I started working on these very simple but PINK invitations. Thanks to Lisa for the inspiration.

Triple Play, it's not just a mini-album

Triple Play Mini Album Kit
This is truly an amazing kit, the mini album is lots of fun to make and is a great gift too! The kit includes all you materials you need (Acrylix blocks not included) to complete this very cute mini album. You simply need to according fold you're two inter-pages and line them up. The binding is a little tricky but it's should worth it at the end.

Triple Play, as a cards set?

Same kit different look. See what else you can do with this great kit. Remember you have 3 full kits. The Indian Corn Blue set was re-engineered into a cute card gift set. I can't take credit for this wonderful creation it was crafted by Gloria Rogers, a very creative CTMH sister.

You'll need all the regular supplies in the Triple Play kit plus:

Extra Colonial White cardstock to make the pockets for the card holder and 6 card bases (3-1/2" x 3-1/2")
Use the main cover as your holder and cut the 2 remaining sheets to create your card fronts
Using your stamped die-cuts and embellish away
Pop them into the pockets and voilà, a cute card set
Extra ink colour used: Outdoor Denim
I also used a second stamp set "SAY IT IN STYLE"

Triple Play, as a scrapbooking layout?

Yet another great project using this versatile kit. The original idea came from Connie Macfarlane, using the pattern 'Magician's Choice' from Magic, this layout is truly Magical. Notice the interactive element on the right page. You can add more photos to complete the story.

6 x 6 ~ according album

I've been eyeing this very cute album for some time now. You can see it on page 63 for the Summer 2010 Idea Book. The artwork in the Idea Book is actually 9x9. I should have checked the recipe before starting but, the 6x6 turned out just fine. FIY, all recipes including basic sizes are listed right from the view on-line catalogue. Good to know, if you are trying to replicate your own version of the artwork in the Idea Book.

Birthday Craft Project

I've been waiting for the right time to make this type of project with my daughter and her friends. The Flip Flop Album was cute and simple to make.
You only need a 6" x 12" base, folded in an according. I pre-scored at each 3". We stamped and embellished the album and during the party I took photos. One photo of each friend and the guest of honour, plus random photos during the party. While the girls where swimming (don't worry I had help for watching), I printed the photos and just before leaving we add them to the album. The girls liked it. (So did Mom)

Zippedee WOTG

My take on the Zippidee WOTG, every year we try to take the family to the RCMP Sunset Ceremonies. If you live in or are visiting the National Capital Region, you won't want to miss this ultimate family experience in the nation's capital. It runs on the last week of June and is a really nice way to start off your summer holidays.
Also known as the RCMP Musical Ride, the red coats and sleek black horses of the RCMP are internationally recognized as a Canadian symbol of pride and justice. The Musical Ride, is a world-renowned military pageant performed with 32 horses and riders.

The ceremonies end with the lowering of the Canada flag and if you're lucky the sunset is simply fabulous.

I would just love to be "Safety Bear" one day. I've been working with the RCMP for 18 years now and I just meet the New organizer, we're friends! So that might just be me next year... Hope there's no height restriction; short bears are cute too, right!

Die Hard Scrappers!

At our last workshop, I arrived about 10 minutes early to open the room and to my surprise there were two of my gals just sitting and looking at their completed scrapbook pages. Aren't they cute? This is one of the many reasons why I just love what I do. Sharing memories and preserving them is such a wonderful thing, don't you agree?
Of course being the scrapper that I am, I got my camera out to capture this moment.

I decide that making a card is faster than going out to buy one. I timed this experiment; it took me 20 minutes and cost me about $1.50.
If I would have gone out to get a card, it would have taken at the very least 30 minutes and I would have come home with other items and spent over $20.00 in the process.

There is also something very special, when you give a handmade card. This one was made just for you, Happy Birthday Lauren.

This month's WOTG is "BELLA" from our Summer 2009 series. This Scrapbooking Workshop on to Go features (3) double-page spreads. The main layout is unique to this WOTG. You also have enough products left over to make cards, from the same workshop guide. Since the concept of my monthly club is: "scrapbook with what you want", I'd like to share with you both the BELLA WOTG in its original format and that same WOTG done with the NEW VERANDA paper packet. Although I really like the BELLA paper packet, I just couldn't resist playing with the new VERANDA papers.

Yes, that is Jeanette Lynton our Founter & CEO with the Ottawa Gals. I feel the need to explain the look on my face. I was crouching down to make sure everyone one could see Jeanette in the photo but after a few minutes I had reached my limit and my knees were shakin' next time all be sure to stand beside her. It was really really cool meeting this wonderful lady.

We had such a great time, thank-you Natalie for allow me to share these photos on my blog.

I decided to take this time and up-date my blog, New Look. It's not always easy to keep up but I'm sure trying.

Christmas Cards worth Blogging

Every year I give and receive lots of cards, I guess it’s the nature of my Hobby (business). This year I received two very special cards I’d like to share. The first card was created by my CTMH~BFF. Not only is this card beautiful but it was HER favorite one. She knew I would keep if forever…

The second card was from my life long BFF. I laughed out loud and called her after opening it. Christmas is about spending time with the special people in your life, I’m so very blessed.

I miss those lazy days of sitting around with a bottle of wine or was in Corona and just Chillin'... Life surely gets busy but you know what they say: "It's the thought that counts"!

The 12 days of Christmas Wreath

Since I cannot get ready in time for an actual Advent calendar, this seems to be the perfect solution.
This idea comes from the Michaels store it was featured in one of their November workshops. Using small metal tins and a 12" wooden wreath create a Christmas Wreath Countdown to Christmas. The basic materials came from Michaels but all papers and most embellishments are CTMH.
I actually made two, one for each of the girls, they loved them. You can add all sort of great treats not like the waxy tasting chocolate from those other ones.
We started with the number 1 tin this year but it would be easier to actually countdown from 12 to 1...

The first wreath was made using the Jingle papers and the second with Aspen. Oh! One tip you'll need one small piece of regular tape for each of the tins to keep them closed. Once the wreath is hanging on the door and the tins are full, they simply do not stay closed.

Christmas Card 2009 ~ Workshop

Like I said, this year was all about keeping it simple. Using the Crazy of Cards concept, one Level 2 paper pack "Jingle" and one basic card pattern from ORIGINALS these cards were made in a full day workshop. Fishin' isn't just for boys, my girls love to fish with their Dad. It's funny the youngest was to one catching all the fishes.

Attack of the killer geese, they might look very friendly but once you take that piece of bread out, watch out! It was surely an adventure.

It was cold and wet but this nature walk through McKenzie King Estate Park was worth it.

I try to take the time to make Thank-you cards after my girls Birthday parties. I also incorporate a photo taking during the party as a keepsake for the invited guests. Little girls like that stuff. (Big ones too).
This card was for my 9 year old, she loved bringing them to school and give them to her friends.

These ones I kept the same theme, as the Birthday card invitations, using all the same colours and stamp set. It gets busy at time since both Birthdays are one month apart.

September WOTG ~ Monthly Club

The first monthly WOTG started with "Animal Cookies". This Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go features (3) double-page spreads. The main WOTG double page layout is unique to this WOTG. You also have enough products left over to make cards, from this same workshop guide.

For this new monthly club, I decided to work with the WOTG program "Workshop on the Go". Since this is my regular group of ladies and they have been with me for 2 years. They all have lots of CTMH supplies to use and enjoy. To make this Monthly Club more fun, I decided to give them the option to use whatever level 2 packet they wanted. We all work from the same WOTG guide but the paper choice is theirs.

These additional two double page layout can be found in your amazing how to CHERISH book. I love to use up my Stickease to completed these layouts. It was fast and fun. Most ladies completed these layouts with photos by the end of the workshop. Which still left us time to complete these lovely cards:

Emergency Backpack Kit

When I saw this cute little backpack, I just had to make one. My daughter was really proud to give this to her teacher and the teacher loved it!

Inside the backpack inlcuded the following note, with one of each item listed below:

The Great Catty Capper!

It goes without saying never ever mess with another consultant's catties on delivery today. You see, Wendy and I were splitting on the new CTMH Fall/Winter 2009 catty order. It's amazing what I'll do to get my hands on the new catties.

It all started with one little e-mail from Wendy:
Hey Julie, just a note to say we’re having a great time on our vacation and we decided to stay one extra day. I’ll be in town by Friday, you can pick-up your catties anytime after 7:00pm see you then…..
Friday…. Friday but the catties will be sitting there on Thursday after-noon and all alone all night, this isn’t right. I need to save them!!! So the scheming began.

The scary thing is that it really didn’t take that long to come up with this brilliant idea… I was laughing to myself at my computer while typing away!

As if she needed proof but these photos will make a great scrapbooking page. Before proceeding with my plan. I called Natalie from Wendy’s driveway and asked: “So, you think she’ll laugh?” Maybe I shouldn’t do this but the catties are there just waiting to be opened!

The note read:

RANSOM NOTE
I have your 100 catties bring one bottle of wine or I’ll start feeding them one by one to the sheep!

Oh! Yah! Baby! I did it but before taking the two boxes I went over the Wendy’s neighbour to see if Wendy had asked her to pick-up the two boxes.
I introduced myself as a CTMH colleague and I was playing a prank on Wendy. I remember saying “Don’t worry I left a ransom note she’ll know it was me.” Wendy’s neighbour looked I little worried but said nothing….. I felt like the Grinch, I took the boxes and drove off.
All day I was waiting for the phone to ring and by 8:00pm it finally did!!!
OMG, for a split moment I thought that's it , Wendy will never speak to me again. I got in my car to take the catties back to their rightful home.
Here’s to a great sport. Poor Wendy, after being stuck in traffic for more than 4 hours with two very tired kids. The only thing that kept her going was the thought of arriving home to those new Idea Books.
She got more then she bargained for! I’m still waiting for that bottle of wine...

Watch out December is just around the corner, you’ll never know when the SHEEP will strike again…. Baaaaaa! Thank-you Wendy for being such a good sport, I'll try to behave went the next ones come around. Can't promise ;-)

Baby Girl ~ Shower Inivation Card

I was asked to come up with a shower invitation card, the criteria were; she loves monkeys and it needs to be pink since she already knows it’s a baby girl. Oh, yeah and we need 50 so make it simple.
This is what I came up with, it's a monochromatic card using Baby Pink and White Daisy cardstock. Sometimes simple is the way to go.

Masculine Thank You Card

This is my attempt at creating a Masculine card, why is that so hard? I don’t know about you but my kid has a group of teacher’s aide and one of them is a guy.

Getting them a little something to say “Thank You” can get expensive, so I got them all a Tim Hortons gift card, who doesn’t love coffee in the morning?

Using the Originals Card Program book, I picked a 4-3/4” x 3” card which is perfect to insert a gift card of any sort. I really loved the cut-out part in the middle.

(P.S. the girls all got flower pot cards)

Flower Pot Cards

I’ve seen these beautiful cards on various blogs and other sites and I just had to make some. This being the end of the school year I’m always looking for gift ideas and great Thank You cards. These next cards were made as a gift to each of my daughter’s dance teachers. I changed the original format to be able in incorporate a 4” x 6” photo as a keepsake for the teachers.

I’ve had these “Prima Flowers” for over a year now and though these would work out well for this cute card project. The flowers are very vivid, this first card is made using the “Whoops-A-Daisy” paper which is also very vibrant. I don’t usually use such bright colours but sometime you need to step out of your comfort zone. The teacher loved it!

WISHES ~ Card Confidence Program

I just received my brand new "WISHES" card making book from CTMH and WOW, this book at a first glance is simply wonderful. I couldn't wait to read some more. (Yes, I actually read my CTMH books cover to cover.) It was 8:30pm time to put the kiddies to bed so Mommy got to pick the story time book for this evening. You guest it "WISHES" my 4 year old loved all the pretty cards and she actually recognized one of my favourite paper pack "Emporium" used in some of the beautiful artwork .

Jeanette Lynton has outdone herself once more, this book if full of trendy ideas, new patterns and three card workshops, its a must have book. Add it to your Wishes List ;-)

What did you do for Mother’s Day?

I would like to thank my husband David for making Mother’s Day such a special occasion for me. It’s all the little things he did like, arranging for Mother’s Day breakfast with the girls, his Mom, our SIL "Mom to be", her Mom and myself of course. He installing our mailbox, adding the extension piece to my desk in my Scrapbooking room (this was big actually) and lastly he give me a certificate for a pedicure.

But the best thing of all was giving me an after-noon all to myself in my Scrapbooking room. This was the first time I actually sit down and played, I completed the two feature pages from the Emporium WOTG program, did I mention how much I love this concept. I really haven’t Scrapbook since last November (well last April at Regionals) but creating in my own space this was a first.

I really felt like Mother’s Day was about me this year, which is truly a gift in its self. Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day!

Being a MOM means you are many things to many people. A friend, a teacher, a leader, a hugger, a cook, and a nurse to name a few. Thank you for sharing yourself with others.

Calgary ~ Regional Celebration 2009

I’m slowly getting back in the swing of things, relocating ones family is not an easy task. Most of my close friend will agree that I usually take on more then the average girl. I’m a busy body; it’s funny because I don’t think of myself as one but looking back now, it has been an extremely busy winter and spring is shaping to be the same.

Back in January Natalie my CTMH-BFF asked me to join her at our CTMH Canadian Regional Celebration. I though for sure we’d be done the renovations by that point and some time away would be just what the doctor ordered. Well January soon turned into April and we were still in the middle of major renovations but one thing remained the same. I truly needed some time away from it all. What better way to do so than by sharing with other CTMH colleagues and getting the chance to meet our CEO Jeanette Lynton.

My time away was amazing; it gave me that extra little something to just go on; both personally and as a CTMH consultant. Not only did a get the chance to meet Jeanette but I actually got a big hug from her. She is truly a remarkable woman.

This was my second Regional Celebration, the first being Rochester in 2007. The smaller venue gave me a chance to meet the corporate team. Their enthusiasm and level of energy is quite commendable. We crying, we laugh and we created amazing artwork throughout our two days. I left home with a suitcase full of goodies and beautiful artwork to share with my client back in Ottawa. Not to mention new found friends and colleagues. This trip only confirmed what I already knew. I was at the right place with the right people. Which made me proud, to be a part of such a wonderful organization.

Here are to very different layouts made during our Create & Take sessions, the first one is very girly and I’m all about the girly stuff as you know. (Mostly cause I have two of them).

There is nothing like seeing your name in print for the first time, I was so excited and surprised. This is a very simple project I did with my Hostess Club ladies. Since the workshop was in August I wanted to make something easy.

Day 2 – Saying good bye to Fuchsia and Lime green paint.

I know it’s only paint but come on Fuchsia and Lime green trim, please. I really hope the previous little girl loved her room. As for my little girls she wanted the same room, just like the one from our old home. So, out came the primer and a few hours later the room is now ready to be painted a soft wheat colours. The jungle animals will follow soon.

Tomorrow I’ll say good bye to the Lilac paint in the second bedroom. It’s all about making it your own, right. Home improvements on a tight schedule really suck. We got the ok from the Laywer to start demos at around 4:00pm. We'll be starting with the removing of laminate flooring on the main floor, ceramic tiles in the entrance, not one layer of tiles but two layers….long story. The new floor should go in tomorrow, can’t wait….

New house, we plan on making it our new home!

Monday January 19th, according the some British Philologist this is the most depressing day of the year. Well, not for me as of this after-noon I will be the proud owner of not one but two houses. It’s been a long three months; lots of packing, planning and re-organizing. We took the new house 2 weeks early to remove the flooring throughout, paint the bedrooms, remodel the basement and remodel the kitchen. This should be an interesting couple of weeks.

Expecting Baby Book

When I was asked if I had any ideas for a baby memories keepsake book, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had seeing this wonderful book made by: Kelly English-Triggs and was dying to make one. I also found more inspiration from Pat Pobst, thanks ladies for sharing your wonderful work.

I made this book for my SIL’s BFF. Not only did we make this together but we also got to spend the day together which is a rare thing. Scrapbooking is not only for the wonderful memories you create but it’s also the quality time spent with people you love.

Calendar Page ~ December 2008

Wow, one full year is already gone. 2008 was a good year, lots of changes for my family and I and for lots for my friends too! Not all changes were good but for the most part I'd say 2008 will be one of those year we'll remember.

Now that my calendar is almost done, I'll take it down form it's place of honor and add a second page for which month to complete one full year of memories. I decided to keep it simple and work with level 1 "Let's get Together" collection. I don't think all get to it any time soon. But once I'm all set-up in the new home you can bet I'll be working on completing this great keepsake.

It's funny not only is the year almost done but my choice of colour combination is also done, you see I used this paper as an inspiration to paint my Scrapbooking room.

I'm thinking "Emporium" might be my next choice for the new room. Who knows?

I’m in true denial, Christmas is just around the corner, we sold our house and I’m moving at the end of January. Here I am still making Christmas cards and with the Canada Post strike I’m not even sure if they’ll deliver them this year.

The thought of packing up the entire house and MY SCRAPBOOKING room is just too much. What do I pack first?

Anyways, these latest cards were done with the Creative Basics ~ Evensong Collection (too bad we’re all out) it was lovely paper. As you can see I used the same template as before, just different papers.

Did I mention moving in January! I guess I'll start packing tomorrow or should I go Christmas shopping or should I start shopping for a new kitchen for the new place. You thought you had a full month!!!!

My Christmas Card Workshop ~ Perfect Day

I'm sooo glad I started working on this workshop in September, I'm really pleased with the results. All sets turned out great. I had a great turn out 20 ladies attended this workshop. They worked very hard on completing two of their favorite sets, the most popular set was Notebook ~ Shining Star. The second most popular was Aspen ~ All Decked Out.

Next year I might simply my workshop a little, 20 cards in one day is a little much, especially with all the cutting involved.
