Artfully Sent Blog Hop

Welcome to the Artfully Sent Blog Hop.

This month I am following {Jean's Blog.} We have 46 Close to My Heart Consultants participating in our Artfully Sent Blog Hop.

Remember this is a circular hop and so you can jump in at any point but if you get lost along the way you can always go back to Melinda's blog here.

And now for my project. The new Cricut cartridge is all about cards, or is it?  I'm sure you 'll see lots of beautiful cards along the way.  I decided to re-engineer, the "card sleeve" to create these very cute luminaries.  Luminary you say?  Let me show you how this came together.

Christmas Luminary

Start with a flameless LED candle, use the candle size to determine the luminary size.  These are 3" x 4 1/2". Once you've cut four sleeves, cut off the back side of each sleeve.

Cut two bottom pieces from your scraps. I used one on the side and one at the bottom, to provide better stability once assembled.

Once all of your pieces are cut it should look something like this.

Use the flaps to glue each sleeve to one and other.

Before you start the assembly, you'll need to cut four pieces of vellum.  Adhere the velum from the inside then start piece them all together.

There you have it!  Super cute luminaries! Now it's your turn, if you'd like to make one for yourself here's the FREE Cricut Design Space file:
