How do you organize your craft room?

I don't know about you but I'm always trying to organize my scrapbook room. From papers to stamps my inventory always changes. From one project to another you end up with lots of supplies. Which can turn into one big scrappy mess. I try to clean up and purge twice a year. Once in January and once in June. So it's time to clean up and re-organize all my "stuff" that was flung around during my busy crafting creative sessions.

So here we go:

I found these plastic bins and they fit perfectly into my Billy Bookcases from Ikea. I like to store "like items" together in bins or boxes. I'm also big on labels. It saves tons of time not having to look for things.

My original labels where simply done with a label maker. They were OK but not very pretty.  So my quest to make a simple yet pretty label started.

After spending too many hours on Pinterest, I made my own customized labels using this tutorial. I cut them all with a paper trimmer and use a small circle punch for the corner. Pretty and simple!

I went a little label crazy...

Here you have a few neat storage ideas:

From left to right, nothing new but still fun to share. Combine all those buttons and place them all in clear jars.   Use an Ikea metal kitchen bar to hang your punches.  I love my ink tower it stores 60 pads 76 pens and it's on a swivel base, very portable. The paper towel dispenser is prefect for washi tape, great dollar store find. The last one is my fav...  use rain gutters to store your ribbons.

So here it is, not too big but it's fully loaded:

People often ask me what colour is your scrapbooking room.  Some of you will laugh for sure, my room was inspired by CTMH colour of course.  Although my furniture and storage boxes at all white the walls are Twilight, Sweet Leaf and Buttercup.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my little scrapping room.  PS, its never this clean LOL!!!!!

GreenHearts - Balloon Ride - Blog Hop

Welcome to the GreenHearts’ BlogHop! If you've arrived from Pam's Blog then you are on the right track!  This month we are featuring the CTMH - Balloon Ride papers and embellishments, in my case the Project My Life (PML) Balloon Ride cards.
I've always been one the think outside the box.  I've been dreaming of ways to use these fabulous cards in a completely different application.  (Yes, a scrapbook in my dreams).

Explosion Mini Album using Balloon Ride PML.
The size of these cards are perfect for mini albums, what a great gift idea!

CTMH Balloon Ride mini album
The base is 6-1/4 x 6-1/4 x 1/2
The flaps are 6-1/4 x 4-1/4 (4)
Here you see the first two flaps, opened, the next photo shows the top and bottom flaps opened.
The inside piece is 6-1/8 x 6-1/8 x 1/4
The flaps are 6-1/8 x 4-1/4 (2), you need to trim the PML card to size.
Once you open the two side flaps, the center piece is a great little pocket.  You can add tags for more photos and journaling.

Materials used are all CTMH (expect for the front brads those are BoBunny)
  • 4 Cashmere CS sheets
  • 5 Saddle CS sheets
  • 2 Colonial White CS sheets
  • Durables Artisan Studs
  • Trinkets Wooden Shapes
  • Natural Hem
  • Project My Life Balloon Ride cards

The larger PML cards where used to adorn the flaps and the smaller ones where used as a photo mat and tags inside the pocket.

Cricut pieces are from the Artbooking cartridge, all shapes were cut at 6".  I love how everything came together. The photo mat sizes are perfect for this size mini album. 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 and 3 x 4.

Wallet Mini Album
This is another quick mini album from prep time to completion 1 hour.

Using a 12 x 12 Colonial White CS cut one piece 12 x 4-1/4
Score at 3-1/4 + 3-3/8, 6-5/8 + 6-3/4 and 10-1/8 + 10-1/4
Cut three (3) 3-1/4 x 8-1/2 each
Score each piece at 4-1/4
Photo mat size 2-1/2 x 3-1/2
Stamped image from the WOTG kit using Desert Sand
The hardest part of this project is selecting from the 78 cards in the PML kit.

Thank you so much for following along on our Blog Hop today! I hope you are enjoying the all lovely artwork. Now it’s time to head on over to Famida's Blog.

Happy hopping!

Ariana Workshop

To be honest with you, I wasn't to crazy about the larger flowers in this paper pack but I did love the colour combination minus the Coral that is.  So, here is my take on the workshop on the go layouts.
