Huntington - Monthly Workshop

My take on the Huntington workshop on the Go, using an alternate background pattern paper as your base pages, you get a very different look.

Workshop Layout 1 - featured in the workshop kit

















Modifications made to the original layout:
  • Use the Huntington Champagne B&T Duos paper for base pages, trim decorative border and set aside 
  • Use Huntington Slate Brocade B&T Duos paper, for pieces A,G,J & P 
  • Use Cocoa for C,E,L & N 
  • Use decorative green border for B & K 
  • Use Oliver for F & O 
  • Use Champagne for D & M 
  • Ink distressed all pieces with Cocoa (except for the F & O pieces those are ink distressed in Oliver) 
  • Stamp “Life Is” with Champagne ink on Colonial White cardstock; trim. Stamp again with Olive trim arrow 
  • Stamp “Sweet” with Olive ink on Colonial White cardstock; trim adhere with 3D foam tape 
  • Stamp “with you” with Olive ink on Colonial White cardstock; trim 
  • Modify the sentiments with Cork Alphabet
Workshop Layout 2 - Reflections Title Topper – Equal Portions



















Assembling details: 
  • Use Cocoa cardstock for base pages 
  • Use Huntington Slate Brocade B&T Duos paper for piece A(x2) 
  • Use Cashmere cardstock for piece B(x2) 
  • Use Desert Sand piece C cut one 2”x9/1/4” & one 2”x7-1/4”, stamp wood image with Cocoa ink on Desert Sand cardstock pieces; trim one end of each at a diagonal 
  • Use Huntington Barn Red B&T Duos paper cut 2 1-1/2” x 8”, Trim one end of each like a pennant 
  • Use Huntington Slate Geometric cut one 1”x6-1/2” & 1”x5-1/2”, Trim one end of each paper to a point 
IMPORTANT cut one inch off your 12x12 to create 12x11 for the third layout, do this for both pages. 
  • Stamp title with Barn Red ink on Colonial White cardstock; trim 
  • Stamp sentiment with Cocoa ink in lower left corner of left page 
  • Journal on Colonial White cardstock strips, as desired 
  • Embellish and journal, as desired

Assembling details: 

1. Use diagram from the MIFYH vol.2 booklet page 14;
2. Use Barn Red cardstock for your bases;
3. Use Huntington Slate Geometric for pieces A &B;
4. Use Desert Sand for pieces B&I;
5. Use Huntington Barn Red for pieces E,K&O;
6. Use Cocoa CS for pieces C,E,J&M
7. Use Olive for piece D cut 8-1/4x1, cut 2 pieces;
8. Ink distress all pieces including photos using Cocoa;
9. Stamp the following flowers and leaves using Crème Brulée, Autumn Terracotta and Barn Red
  • Large flower stamp 3, use the Rock & Roll technique with all three colours 
  • Small flower stamp 3, use the Rock & Roll technique with all three colours 
  • Small flower stamp 4, use Slate 
  • Croissant petal shape stamp 2, use the Rock & Roll technique with all three colours 
  • Large leave stamp 8, use the Rock & Roll technique with Crème Brulée, Olive & Cocoa 
  • Small leave stamp 4, use the Rock & Roll technique with Crème Brulée, Olive & Cocoa 
  • Smallest leave stamp 3, use Olive 
  • Trim all, ink distress the leaves with Slate and the Flowers with Barn Red 
10. Cricut Pieces

  • Colonial White cut @ 2-3/4” Accent3<3>.p33 
  • Cocoa cut @ 3-1/4” Accent 3<3>.p33 
  • Stamp title on Colonial White Piece using Vogue Alphabet with Cocoa and Red Barn ink
