Monogram Stationery Set

If you haven't seen the new CTMH Monograms, I'm sure you'll be looking for them now.  I've been eager to create with these for some time. If you're like me, you also have that one paper pack you've been saving for something special.  Well, this is it. I dug-up my "Key to my Heart"  pack and started creating.  My inspiration came from Lisa. You can also get additional inspiration by watching this video.

So back to the artwork, you will need the following items:

  • Paper pack of your choice
  • Monogram stamp
  • D1527 Perfect Fit Frames
  • X1410 Cards & Envelopes 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"
  • Z1617 Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain ribbon
  • Z2114 Cocoa Ink
  • Z1790 Artiste Cricut Cartridge
  • Z1686 Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

If you'd like your very own "Key to my Heart" kit, you're in luck.  I have one full paper pack with a gently used coordinating E-size stamp set for only $15.00.

Random Layered Stamping

The workshop kits come with either Colonial White or White Daisy cardstock. This time, I just wanted to try something new.  So I started with a simple random stamping technique.   By layering the images one over the other.  This is what I got.

Step 1: start with a plain Colonial White cardstock.

Step 2: using the script and flower image. Stamp in second generation using Smokey Plum ink. Stamp on a diagonal rotating your image and/or cardstock.  Stamp outside the edges to completely cover the page.

Step 3: using the butterfly image stamp using Cashmere ink, always rotating the image and cardstock.

step 4: using the post mark and the "Je t'aime" images, stamp in Dessert Sand ink.  Trying to cover every inch of the base.

Step 5: using a sponge rub ink over the entire page with Champagne colour.

Step 6: using a sponge dauber, ink the edges of the page in Dessert Sand ink.

Step 7: set aside to dry and use in future project.

I know, it seems like allot of work but if you look at the plain Colonial White cardstock and the finished product it's totally worth it.  You can see this page used in my La Belle Vie layout #3.
